Robert
Pattinson will be honored at the 2017 Deauville American Film Festival, it was
announced Tuesday. Additional honorees and the festival’s lineup of film

Robert Pattinson Reddit AMA Q&A: Highlights
Robert Pattinson participated in his first-ever Reddit AMA on Friday. Here are some highlights.
On the user-generated platform, fans could submit questions, and the actor chose which ones to answer. The chat coincided with the nationwide release of his critically-acclaimed film.
One topic that repeatedly came up was Pattinson’s role in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. “I was wondering how it feels knowing you will forever be a part of the Harry Potter franchise, and by extension many peoples’ cinematic education and childhoods?” asked on fan. He responded, “It’s a lovely feeling. It was genuinely a really special experience working on it. And ended up being really life changing for me.”
But when asked for “funny stories” from the set, Pattinson said he had to “try and think of one.” Amusingly, he also apparently forgot he did a commentary for the film’s DVD. Asked for his Hogwarts house, he declared, “I’d be a hufflepuff even if harry potter wasn’t a book.” And on the subject of Harry Potter And The Curse Child, Pattinson admitted he’s “been intending to see the play for months and months.”
He also assured a an that he’s still making “quite a lot of music,” but noted, “I just don’t really know what to do with it. Music industry is pretty rough.” Pattinson seemed to avoid Twilight questions, but did respond to one person who wrote, “You’re impossibly fast, and strong. Your skin is pale white and ice cold. Your eyes change coloor, and sometimes you speak like you’re from a different time. You never eat or drink anything. You don’t go out in the sunlight… How old are you?” The answer: 31.
Other questions were about filmmaking. Pattinson replied that he doesn’t have a plan for his career, but “always just want to try and do something very different every time I do a project.” He went on, “I don’t know really how difficult that’s been because I’ve always been pretty lucky in the jobs that come up.” He also said he hasn’t purposefully stayed away from big productions. “The hope is to make every movie a blockbuster i guess…but I’m always on the look out for projects across the budget spectrum,” Pattinson explained. “Larger budgets just get a bit scarier though because the stakes get exponentially higher and more people involved are afraid to relinquish control.”
And when asked if he has interest in joining a franchise, such as the Marvel or DC universes, he replied, “Maybe one day.” The British star does have interest in another medium. “Always open to doing something on television. I’ve just never found the perfect thing,” he told one user. “I like doing performances where you don’t really have to hit marks in the plot arc in really obvious places and television helps you with that a bit. I think.”
In some shorter answers, Pattinson dismissed the suggestion that he’s bothered by trolls and internet memes using his image. “It’s pretty difficult to bum me out,” he said. As for whether he thinks about finally signing up for social media accounts, he quipped, “Only in dark moments.” And to describe his life outside of acting, he cracked, “Sucks.” Pattinson also revealed Hodor is the “Game of Thrones” character he’d most like to play, discussed his viral photo with Beyonce, shared his current reading list and favorite albums.

How Robert Pattinson Spent Fake Money
In
“Good Time” much of the movie’s
effectiveness is owed to the vision of the Safdie brothers, who are as
interested in kaleidoscopic visuals as they are in studied, practical realism.
Vulture sat down with the Safdies to walk through one of the film’s crucial
scenes, in which the brothers try to rob a bank. The Directors told the readers
about where they got their lifelike masks, the reality of bank robbery in 2017,
and the time Pattinson accidentally spent some of the production’s fake money.

Robert Pattinson Says His Movie Are "Weird And Don't Make A Lot Of Money"
In
his recent interview with CBS “Sunday Monday” Robert Pattinson talks about his movies
in the years since his blockbuster Twilight franchise ended.
The
actor became a household name playing handsome vampire Edward Cullen in the
popular Twilight series, but he’s opted for mostly independent projects in
recent years. Pattinson’s latest film, the gritty bank robbery drama Good Time in which he stars as a
low-life New York criminal, is another example of the actor’s transformations.
“I
think so much of life, people are trying to put you in a box and define you all
the time,” Pattinson says in his CBS interview, which airs this Sunday. “And
it’s just exciting to have a job where you can consistently break the walls of
the box around you.” He adds, “It’s not like, ‘Oh, I’ll come down from an ivory
tower to be…’ I mean, these roles are hard for me to get. It’s not like I’m Leo
[DiCaprio] or something.”
Pattinson
goes on to note his fame is helpful in “getting financing” for small films,
which he says are often hard to get funded because “the movies I do are weird
and they don’t make a lot of money, a lot of the time.” The actor further
expresses gratitude for the opportunity to make films he’s passionate about
because show business can be very fickle. “I always think that, like, at some
point Karma is like, ‘Oh, that’s all your luck run out.’ And now it’s, ‘so a
whole bunch of bad stuff’s gonna happen,’” he says.
Also
during the interview, Pattinson discusses his childhood, early acting career,
the tabloids, personal relationships and more.

Robert
Pattinson is opening up about his acting career, being famous, and more.
The
31-year-old Good Time star sat down with CBS Sunday Morning for an interview
that will premiere this Sunday (August 20) at 9 a.m. ET.
“I
think so much of life people are trying to put you in a box and define you all
the time,” Robert told interviewer Michelle Miller. “And it’s just exciting to
have a job where you can – where you’re allowed to – consistently break the
walls of the box around you.”
“It’s
not like, ‘Oh, I’ll come down from an ivory tower to be…’ I mean, these roles
are hard for me to get,” he continued. “It’s not like I’m… Leo [DiCaprio] or
something. The only thing that being famous really helps in is…getting
financing for your… movies. And…the movies I do are weird and they don’t make a
lot of money… a lot of the time.”
“I
always think that, like, at some point Karma…is like, ‘Oh, that’s all your luck
run out,’” he added while discussing success. “And now it’s, ‘So a whole bunch
of bad stuff’s gonna happen.’”
Robert
also talked about his childhood, breaking into acting, his ongoing struggle of
dealing with the tabloids, personal relationships, and more.

Robert Pattinson As A Musician
Probably
many of you the Twilight Fans know that Robert Pattinson is a talented
musician. But let’s revise it.
Pattinson
plays the guitar and piano, and composes his own music. He appears as the
singer of two songs on the Twilight soundtrack: "Never Think", which
he co-wrote with Sam Bradley, and "Let Me Sign", which was written by
Marcus Foster and Bobby Long. Pattinson also played the guitar on the Death
Grips song "Birds", which was released in November 2013 on their
album Government Plates.
The
songs were included in the film after director Catherine Hardwicke added
Pattinson's recordings into an early cut without his knowledge, and he agreed
that "one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was
like it was supposed to be there." The soundtrack for the film How to Be
features three original songs performed by Pattinson and written by composer
Joe Hastings. Pattinson has said,
"I've never really recorded anything – I just played in pubs and
stuff", and when asked about a professional music career, he said,
"Music is my back-up plan if acting fails."In 2010, Pattinson was
awarded the "Hollywood's Most Influential Top Unexpected Musicians"
award.
In
March 2017 interview Pattinson confirmed about contributing to the music of his
upcoming film Damsel. Talking about it, he said that "I don’t play that
much any more, though I am doing music for [‘Damsel’]. I used to differentiate
between music and acting but the more I don’t play music, the more I push that
area of my brain into acting. I improvise like I would when I play music."
So,
what do you think, should Rob join the ranks of actors-turned-musicians, or
stick to the big screen?

began modelling at the age of 12, but his workload began to decrease four years
later. In December 2008, he blamed the lack of modelling work on his masculine
appearance: "When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl,
so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous
look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any
more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modelling career." Pattinson
appeared in the advertising campaign for Hackett's
autumn 2007 collection.
In
November 2010, Pattinson was approached by Burberry to be the face of the their
brand with £1m deal, which he turned down.
In
June 2013, Pattinson was announced as the new face of Dior Homme fragrance and featured in the advertising campaign
titled 1000 LIVES, directed by Romain
Gavras and photographed by Nan Goldin. This campaign has also featured the
track Whole Lotta Love by English rock band Led Zeppelin. Goldin, later
released a book titled Robert Pattinson:
1000 Lives, collection of Pattinson's images from the campaign.
In
January 2016, he appeared in another campaign for Dior Homme shot by German photographer and director Peter
Lindbergh. Next month, he was announced as the first ambassador of Dior Homme Menswear and appeared in
brand's 2016 fall collection campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld. In 2017, he
continued his association with Dior
and appear in both their fragrance and Menswear 2017 summer collection
campaigns.
Where Is Robert Pattinson- 10 Years After Twilight?
Robert
Pattinson’s career first took off when he was cast as handsome Hufflepuff
Cedric Diggory in 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. When he landed
the role of the sensitive, sparkly teenage vampire Edward Cullen, however, he
was launched to a whole new level of superstardom.
Since
the Twilight Saga ended with 2012’s Breaking Dawn — Part 2, Pattinson, like
Stewart, has been developing his art-house resume by taking on roles in a
variety of indie and auteur projects, including David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis
(2012) and Maps to the Stars (2014), Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert
(2015), James Gray’s The Lost City of Z (2016), Josh and Benny Safdie’s Good
Time (2017), and David Zellner’s Damsel (2017).
In
August 2017, during the promotions for Good
Time, Pattinson wrote and starred in a short film for GQ, which described by the magazine as "Robert Pattinson Battles Fame and Fear to Get a New York Street
Dog" and titled Fear & Shame.
Shot on the streets of New York, the film narrates Pattinson's journey to buy a
hot dog while avoiding media and fans in the hustle of the city. The A.V. Club
called it "bizarre and delightful". While IndieWire said that
"he's got bright" and "shimmering future".
As
of August 2017, Pattinson has several projects in various stages of production.
He has completed David Zellner's western-comedy Damsel, in which he re-united with his Maps to the Stars co-star
Mia Wasikowska and has started filming for Claire Denis's science fiction film
High Life in which he appears as an astronaut. In addition, he will star
alongside Sylvester Stallone and Rachel Weisz in Olivier Assayas's Idol's Eye, and will also star in Joanna
Hogg's two-part romantic mystery films titled The Souvenir.

Where Is Taylor Lautner After Twilight?
Due
to The Twilight Saga, Taylor Lautner became a teen idol and sex symbol, especially
after extensively changing his physique to keep the role of Jacob Black in
further Twilight installments, and generating media attention for his looks. In
2010, he was ranked second on Glamour's "The 50 Sexiest Men of 2010"
list, and fourth on People's "Most Amazing Bodies" list. Also in the
same year, Lautner was named the highest-paid teenage actor in Hollywood. Then,
what happened?
Unfortunately,
Twilight's astonishing box-office revenue proved to be detrimental to the
young star's future earning potential. It's the subject of a new article in The
Hollywood Reporter titled "The New A-List: What Went Wrong With Taylor
Lautner's Career?"
Post-Twilight,
he Lautner has appeared in 2015’s The
Ridiculous 6 and has had roles on the TV series Cuckoo and Scream Queens.
The one leading-man role that did come to fruition,
in 2011's Abduction, was critically panned and only earned $82
million worldwide.
Robert Pattinson Would Agree To Another Twilight Film
Robert
Pattinson made us thirsty with his icy performance as the most handsome vampire, Edward Cullen.
Since
then, the Twilight star has made some very unenthusiastic comments about the
franchise, but it seems he isn't quite ready to rule out a return.
In
a recent interview, the actor was asked about statements made recently by
Lionsgate CEO that "there are more stories to be told" within the
Twilight story.
When
told about it, Pattinson said it was news to him, and exclaimed
"yes!" "Well you never know... It did inspire me at the time.
And really it's kind of awesome."
He
did refer to having "paparazzi " from the Twilight saga, and seemed surprised
by continuing media interest in him, saying he's "basically... been really
under the radar for years."
His
co-star Kristen Stewart has persistently dodged questions of whether she'd
return, although she has admitted she would read a new Twilight book should it
be released.

Robert Pattinson Admits He Always Wants "To Say Something Crazy"
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robert Pattinson said he has an urge to say the wrong thing in interviews to make himself appear more exciting.
The actor described the scream from the crowd at Comic-Con when he appeared to promote Twilight in 2008 as “the sound you hear at the gates of hell” and has admitted he still has to fight the impulse to say something inappropriate.
He told US celebrity site Entertainment Weekly: “I remember saying that and it was literally the exact wrong thing to say. It’s crazy.
But it’s funny that even as I’m promoting stuff now, I’m gripped by this perverse urge to say the opposite of what I’m supposed to say.
“It’s like a goblin dancing in my head and it keeps happening to me in interview after interview after interview.
“I’ve just had a week of giving bad, wacky answers about things. And I just keep thinking, ‘Play it cool, don’t say anything crazy’.”
The actor continued: “I think I just keep wanting to pierce this fantasy bubble.
“I was on Stephen Colbert’s show yesterday and I could really feel by the end of the interview that there was this little demon, telling me, ‘You’re boring, boring, boring! Say something crazy, say something crazy!’.”
Talking about appearing on chat shows, he said: “There’s an expectation for a certain energy. "
Then, Pattinson added: “It’s difficult because I feel like I’m wearing a lot of different hats at the same time. "
“I’m editing a lot in my head as the interviews go on. I think that’s why I get so anxious. And then I end up saying some dumb stuff.
“It’s always dangerous if I’m trying to make a group of people laugh. That’s when I say the dumbest stuff.”

Have Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs split?
Weeks after actor Robert Pattinson revealed that they are “kind of” engaged, FKA twigs has been spotted with a French male model in Ibiza.
According to Daily Mail, FKA has been seen spending time with Brieuc Breitenstein, who appeared to be resting his face on her head in one snap. FKA and Brieuc seemed to be enjoying each other’s company while taking in the sights of the celeb hot spot.
Robert recently opened up about the struggles of dating in Hollywood, telling Howard Stern, "It's one of the most frustrating things in the world, because you want to be able to do that [show PDA], but to get kind of stuck in a position where, like, you have to make the decision… Do you want to let, kind of, crazy people in, because for whatever reason with ‘Twilight,' there's like, a crack troop of crazies who think every decision you're making is creating some kind of conspiracy."
"And so you kind of think, to protect it, I want to create a big boundary between it, but then it makes it difficult for your actual relationship,” Robert explained.
